The deputy commissioner, Swat, Shahzad Mehboob on Tuesday imposed a complete ban on throwing trash, solid waste, and other garbage materials in public places aimed to mitigate environmental issues in the district.
A notification issued by the Swat deputy commissioner, Shahzad Mehboob, said that to prevent environmental pollution, a ban has been imposed on throwing trash, solid waste, and littering in public places and at river banks.
It said the ban imposed under section 144 of Code of Criminal Procedure (CRPC) across the district Swat for indefinite period.
The notification noted that legal action under Section 188 would be taken against violators, as the administration is striving to maintain a clean and green environment in Swat, allowing the public to breathe fresh air in the district.
