Swat flood tragedy: Govt and concerned institutions responsible, says Ajmal Wazir

Ajmal Wazir raises concerns over Murad Saeed senate oath

ISLAMABAD: In an exclusive interview with Pakhtun Digital, former provincial minister Ajmal Wazir commented on the internal conflicts within Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), calling it “PTI vs. PTI.” He pointed out visible divisions, citing Junaid Akbar’s criticism and Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur’s recent statement that passing the budget was crucial to avoid a crisis.

Wazir suggested that if PTI founder Imran Khan is unhappy with Gandapur’s performance, the only options are dissolving the assembly or the CM resigning—but neither seems likely.

Regarding the recent Swat flood tragedy, where 18 people drowned, Wazir held the government and relevant institutions responsible for failing to make timely safety arrangements. However, he also advised citizens to check weather conditions before traveling to risk-prone areas.
