Swat Police nab key suspect in alleged honor killing of Aunt

Swat: In a tragic incident under the jurisdiction of the Kabal Police Station in Swat, a woman identified as J (name withheld) was murdered in the name of honor. The incident occurred in the Swegli area, prompting swift action from local law enforcement. A case was registered against the primary accused, Omar Zeb, son of Manro, along with his accomplices, Sajidullah and Bakht Zamin, sons of Bakht Zamin.

Following the directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Swat, Nasir Mahmood, a specialized team led by Additional SP Swat Ghulam Sadiq Khan and supervised by SDPO Circle Kabal Amjad Khan, worked diligently to apprehend the suspects. SHO Kabal Police Station Sohail Khan, along with other police teams, utilized modern technical methods to track down and arrest Omar Zeb, the main accused, who allegedly murdered his aunt in the name of honor. Additionally, Sajidullah and Shafiullah, sons of Bakht Zarin and stepsons of the deceased, were also taken into custody.

In a separate operation, the Saidu Sharif Police Station successfully apprehended a car thief. The complainant, Muhammad Ali, son of Khanzada and a resident of Batora, Saidu Sharif, reported the theft of his Suzuki car from a garage. The accused, Bakht Rawan, son of Rehman Gul, also a resident of Batora, was identified as the perpetrator. Acting swiftly on the complaint, SHO Saidu Sharif Police Station Roshan Khan, along with in-charge Kokkarai Outpost Atta-ur-Rahim and other police teams, arrested Bakht Rawan within hours of the report. The stolen Suzuki car was recovered based on the accused’s identification.
