Swat police devise plan for Chand Raat, Eid-ul-Fitr

SWAT: The district Swat police on Friday issued its security plan devised for Chand Raat and Eid-ul-Fitr. 5252 police personnel are likely to be deployed on duty during the Eid vacations.
Swat Police has released a complete security plan during Chand Raat and Eid-ul-Fitr in Swat, according to which 5,252 police officers and personnel will perform their duties across the district.
According to Swat Police Spokesperson Moin Fayyaz, lady police personnel have also been included in the security plan to provide complete security at mosques, Eidgahs and other high-risk places of the district.
As per the instructions of DPO Swat Nasir Mahmood, Swat Police has further strengthened security arrangements on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr and Chand Raat. The police have set up additional checkpoints on the entry and exit routes across the district so that people entering Swat can be effectively monitored. Furthermore, police mobile patrolling has been increased to improve traffic flow, and traffic arrangements have been improved.
DPO Swat has appealed to the public to avoid aerial firing on Chand Raat so that the atmosphere of joy is maintained and any untoward incident can be avoided. He said that strict legal action would be taken against those who fire in the air.
