Two additional bodies were recovered from the Shahi Bagh boat tragedy in which ten tourists drowned when their boat capsized due to a windstorm in the Kalam area of Swat district.
According to rescue officials, two women and two children drowned, while one child remains missing after the boat overturned in Shahi Bagh Lake, located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Swat region.
Rescue 1122 North Region Spokesperson Shafiqa Gul reported that the incident occurred yesterday evening as strong winds and rain struck the popular tourist destination. She confirmed that the bodies of the two women have been retrieved from the lake and transported to the Kalam hospital.
Later, Rescue 1122 Spokesperson Bilal Faizi stated that the bodies of two children were also recovered from the lake. Efforts to locate the third missing child are still ongoing.
