T20I tri-series: Pakistan set 172-run target for UAE

SHARJAH: Pakistan posted 171 runs for the loss of five wickets against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the fifth match of the ongoing tri-nation T20 series, setting a 172-run target.

Fakhar Zaman starred with a brilliant 77 off 44 deliveries, hitting 10 fours and two sixes, while Mohammad Nawaz remained unbeaten on 37. Sahibzada Farhan contributed 16 runs, Saim Ayub 11, skipper Salman Ali Agha 7, and Mohammad Haris 14. For UAE, Haider Ali claimed two wickets.

Earlier, Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha won the toss and opted to bat first, inviting Muhammad Waseem’s side to bowl. The Men in Green made two changes for the match, with Abrar Ahmed and Salman Mirza replacing Sufiyan Muqeem and Haris Rauf.

So far in the tri-series, Pakistan have secured two wins out of three matches, with one defeat.
