TANK: A group of armed terrorists attacked a police station overnight in Tank district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the police’s official statements, terrorists targeted Gomal Police Station on Friday night. The attack, however, was repelled due to timely action by the police”, said police. No casualties were reported in the assaults.
Police said that terrorists used small and heavy weapons in the attack. The exchange of fire continued for several hours. Due to a quick response by the police, the terrorists escaped into the darkness.
The police station was attacked by gunmen several times in the past. But every time, police successfully thwarted the terrorists’ attempt to enter the police station.
