Zero runs in Super Over

Bahrain made an unwanted record in the Malaysia T20I Tri-Series by scoring zero runs in a Super Over against Hong Kong.

The match was tied at 129 runs, leading to the Super Over. In the Super Over, Bahrain’s batsmen, Ahmer Bin Nasir and Sohail Ahmed, were both out quickly, leaving the team at 0/2.

According to ICC rules, the Super Over ends if two wickets fall. Hong Kong needed just one run to win, which they easily scored, winning the match.

This is the first time in cricket history that a team scored zero in a Super Over since the rule started in 2009.
