The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has announced a two-year royalty fee waiver for the mountaineers as KP plans to celebrate the 75th Tirchi Mir’s platinum Jubilee this year.
Tirchi Mir was first successfully ascended in 1950, and it is located in the Chitral district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to a notification issued by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority the other day, on the approval of the chief minister and in accordance with the mandate granted to KPCTA for the tourism levy, they announced a two-year royalty fee waiver for the mountaineers.

“Fee waiver includes the highest peaks of the Hindukush mountain range in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and the fee waiver for 2025-26. This fee waiver will boost tourism in KP, especially in Chitral,” DG Tourism Authority Habibullah Arif emphasised.
Terich Mir is the highest mountain of the Hindu Kush range, and the highest mountain in the world outside of the Himalayas–Karakoram range, at 7,708 meters above sea level. It is located in the Chitral District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. It is the 33rd highest peak in the world.
