In Europe, American electric carmaker Tesla’s sales in July fell by 40 percent compared to last year, while Chinese company BYD made significant progress, overtaking Tesla for the first time.
British news site ‘The Guardian’ reported that Tesla sold 8,837 vehicles in the European Union, the European Free Trade Association and the United Kingdom last month, compared to 14,769 in July 2024.
In contrast, BYD’s new vehicle registrations reached 13,503, compared to 4,151 in the same month last year.
