WASHINGTON: The American journal Washington Times, said that Field Marshal Asim Munir has emerged as an influential and prominent leader on the global stage.
According to the newspaper, the strained relations between Trump and Modi have further strengthened General Asim Munir’s diplomatic position. During the tension with India, Asim Munir was praised as a “leader with nerves of steel” who effectively highlighted Pakistan’s position not only domestically but also internationally.
The Washington Times wrote that under the leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir, Pakistan has renewed military and strategic relations with the United States, including improving relations with the US Central Command and the Pentagon.
According to the article, Trump is not only seeking better relations with Pakistan but is also closely watching the potential of Pakistan’s important minerals and the emerging cryptocurrency market.
The newspaper added that Field Marshal Asim Munir’s leadership skills and global diplomatic acumen have earned him new respect, status and credibility on the global stage. He is effectively representing Pakistan’s strategic interests on the global stage.
