Three personnel were injured in a terrorist attack on a police checkpoint in the Topi Tehsil of Swabi district on Thursday night.
According to the police, the personnel of the Atla police station were standing at a checkpoint when the terrorists opened fire at them.
Three personnel were seriously injured in the firing, including Bacha Gul, Khair Ghafoor and Mira Fazl.
The injured personnel have been shifted to the Shah Mansoor Medical Complex.
After the incident, the police have cordoned off the area and started a search operation.
A few days back, unknown terrorists had attacked the Jhanda police post and fled the miscreants after the cowardly attack.
