In a heartbreaking incident near Sohni Waterfall in Naran, three individuals lost their lives due to a glacier collapse. The victims have been identified as 35-year-old Tahir, 13-year-old Abu Bakr, and 22-year-old Tayyab, all hailing from Lahore.
The tragic event has garnered attention, with Zahid Chanzeb expressing profound sorrow and condolences for the families affected by this accident. Arrangements are currently underway to transfer the bodies of the deceased from Naran to Lahore, ensuring that the families can hold proper funerals.
Tourism Advisor commended the prompt response of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Development Authority (KDA) and Rescue 1122, which played a vital role in the rescue efforts following the glacier collapse. The incident has served as a stark reminder of the potential dangers at tourist locations.
