Torrential rains trigger flash floods in Mansehra, vehicles swept away

Islamabad, parts of KP hit by heavy rains

MANSEHRA: Heavy rains lashed Mansehra and adjoining areas, triggering flash floods in local streams and nullahs. The downpour caused a seasonal stream to overflow, with floodwaters entering houses and markets. One house was reported damaged in the incident.

At least three vehicles were swept away by the floodwaters, while a madrassa also came under threat. Rescue teams, however, safely evacuated all the students from the premises.

Meanwhile, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued an alert, forecasting heavy rains in Islamabad and several districts of Punjab from Monday until September 3.
