SWAT: Tourist spots in KP (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) saw a huge rush of visitors during the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays, especially on the second day.
Thousands of tourists from across Pakistan, including Islamabad and Punjab, traveled to Swat, Kalam, Kumrat, and other scenic spots to celebrate Eid.
The government announced three Eid holidays (March 21–April 1), allowing families to enjoy leisure time. On the first day, most people stayed with families, but on the second and third days, they rushed to Murree and other popular destinations.
Kalam, Swat, Kumrat, and Galiyat remained packed with visitors. Tourists also explored the beauty of Khyber, Buner, and the Hazara belt. Malakand Division, known for its stunning landscapes, was especially crowded on the second day of Eid.
Following Advisor to Tourism Zahid Chanzeb’s instructions, the Tourism Department, KP Tourism Authority, and Upper Swat Development Authority mobilized to assist tourists.
He added that camping pods at tourist spots are open, providing comfort and a better holiday experience for visitors. Tourism Police personnel are actively assisting tourists, ensuring they fully enjoy the stunning valleys and attractions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Advisor to Tourism Zahid Chanzeb emphasized that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is committed to providing top-notch facilities and ensuring the safety of all tourists. “We hope visitors will have a memorable experience at our beautiful destinations without any inconvenience,” he said.
