Tribal Elders Pledge Full Support to Pakistan Army in North Waziristan Jirga

MIRANSHAH: A significant Jirga of tribal elders was held in Miran Shah, North Waziristan, with the support of the Pakistan Army, to reinforce peace efforts and counter extremist threats in the region.

The elders unanimously declared their full backing for the military’s zero-tolerance policy against terrorism, particularly against the outlawed group Fattah-ul-Kharij. They praised the sacrifices of the Pakistan Army, security forces, and martyrs in maintaining stability.

Major General Adil Iftikhar Warraich, General Officer Commanding, attended as the chief guest and commended the tribal leaders for their crucial role in ensuring lasting peace. He emphasized that cooperation between the military and local communities is vital to eradicating terrorism.

The tribal elders also expressed gratitude for the Pakistan Army’s initiatives in education and healthcare, especially for girls, highlighting the military’s role in regional development.

The Jirga concluded with a firm commitment from all participants to work alongside security forces in eliminating extremist elements and promoting peace in North Waziristan.
