PARACHINAR: Malik Zartaj Hussain, a tribal leader who organised a sit-in, has been detained by the police. His arrest took place in front of the Majlis Ulema Ahlul Bayt office. This has sparked a protest demonstration in Parachinar city in response to his arrest. Zartaj Hussain was on his way to a peace seminar when he was taken into custody. According to another organiser, Musarat Hussain, “It raises concerns that individuals advocating for peace are being targeted. A significant announcement will be made tomorrow from Kashmiri Chowk in Parachinar city,” adding that the community is also making it clear that further road closures will not be tolerated.
