Trump accuses Obama of “treason” in election interference claims

The US President Donald Trump has accused the  Obama administration of “treason” and attempting to “steal the election,” following a criminal referral submitted by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard to the Department of Justice.

Trump made the remarks in the Oval Office on Tuesday, calling Obama the “leader of the gang” in response to questions about a meeting between Deputy Attorney Todd Blanche and Ghislaine Maxwell, Jeffrey Epstein’s convicted associate.

An AI-generated fake video of Obama being arrested in the Oval Office, originally posted on TikTok, was shared on Trump’s social media platform over the weekend. Critics argue Trump is trying to divert attention from the Epstein scandal.

Obama’s spokesperson dismissed the claims, stating that intelligence findings, including a 2020 bipartisan Senate report led by Marco Rubio, confirm Russia’s interference in the 2016 election but found no evidence of vote manipulation.
