The White House is investigating how The Atlantic’s editor-in-chief, Jeffrey Goldberg, was accidentally added to a confidential Signal group chat where top Trump administration officials discussed airstrikes against Yemen’s Houthi militants.
Goldberg reported receiving messages from accounts labeled as Vice President JD Vance, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and National Security Adviser Michael Waltz. The chat included details on weaponry, targets, and timing of the strikes, which were later carried out.

The National Security Council confirmed the chat’s authenticity, calling it evidence of “deep and thoughtful policy coordination.” However, Democrats condemned the lapse, with Sen. President Trump claimed he was unaware of the incident when asked
