SHANGLA: Two boys of a family drowned in the Indus river in the Maira area of Bisham tehsil here on Monday morning. Efforts continued to fish out the bodies.
According to locals, two cousins had gone to the Indus River for play, which is adjacent to their house, where they both drowned in the fast-flowing Indus River.
They said the Rescue 11122 team had begun the rescue work to fish out the boys, but they could not succeed until evening.
He said the efforts to recover both boys continued under the supervision of their parents and relatives.
The drowned boys identified as Mohammad Asif-9 and Sohaib Ahmad-11 were residents of Said Abad, Maira of tehsil Bisham.
