Two Congo virus cases detected in Peshawar

Two Congo virus patients have been confirmed to be infected at Hayatabad Medical Complex, Peshawar, while two suspected patients are also undergoing treatment at the hospital. According to the hospital spokesperson, both Ijaz, 28, and Safyan, 23, belong to the Karak district and are involved in the animal husbandry profession. Ijaz was admitted to the hospital in critical condition on June 14, and Safyan on June 15, but after timely medical assistance, both are now out of danger. According to the spokesperson, two more suspected patients have also been admitted to the hospital, whose blood samples have been sent to the laboratory, and their results are awaited. Both suspects have been kept in the isolation ward, and precautionary measures are being fully implemented. The hospital administration has appealed to the citizens to take precautionary measures while caring for animals to prevent the spread of the virus.
