Two dead, 1 hospitalised after inhaling generator fumes in Shangla

 

 

SHANGLA: Two labourers died after inhaling toxic fumes emitted from a generator they used to run their ice cream-making machine. The incident occurred on Thursday in Martung Bazar in the Puran subdivision here.

According to the Aloch police station’s police official, the residents of Martung had brought three bodies from the Martung area to the Pir Muhammad Khan Shaheed hospital in Aloch on Thursday morning.

Police said the medical team in the hospital took the facility’s emergency, where they made attempts to save their lives, but unfortunately, two of them were already dead.

The police added that both were announced dead by the doctors, and later, their bodies were handed over to their families; however, the third labour was still breathing, and he was shifted to a hospital in Swat for further treatment.

Police officials identified the victims as Mohamma Maaz and Abdul Wali, residents of Martung.
