Two employees of PDMA abducted from Mandi Bakka Khail Bannu

BANNU: Unknown armed persons abducted two employees of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority(PDMA) from the Mandi Bakka Khail camp in Bannu on Monday.

Local sources said that both employees were present in the camp of temporary displaced persons and were taking some tea and refreshment in the canteen when armed persons came and picked them up at gunpoint along with their vehicle. The abducted persons were identified as plumber Qismatullah and electrician Muhammad Asif.

They were assigned some duty in TDP camp and were working on technical side to facilitate the displaced families. Police have been put on high alert and search operation is continue to arrest the responsible elements.

Security is already on high alert in the Bakka Khail area of Bannu, where militants frequently attacking security forces and police. Earlier to this, a peace Jirga was also attacked in the area where some participants of the Jirga were injured.
