SWAT: At least two persons were killed and four others injured when two rival groups opened fire on each other due to a property dispute on Tuesday.
According to details, the incident occurred in the jurisdiction of the Kalam police station. As soon as the incident was reported, DSP Circle Bahrain Jahanzeb Khan reached the spot along with SHO Kalam police station Ali Badshah and other police personnel.
Two people died and four people were injured in the firing. SHO Kalam police station, along with police personnel, arrested nine people from both sides on the spot. The arrested persons include Ikram Shah, son of Samad Khan, Rozi Khan, son of Gujar Khan, Malik Aman, son of Samad Khan, Harut, son of Amir Khan, Abdul Karim, son of Mahmood Khan, Musir Khan, son of Amir Bacha, residents of Bur Matli Mataltan from the first party.
While the second party includes Bakht Rawan, son of Umar Khan, Habib Khan, son of Anza Khan, Zaid, son of Umar Khan, residents of Cherat Mataltan. The deceased were identified as Mir Alam, son of Samad Khan, from the first party, while Qasim Khan, son of Mirza Khan, from the second party.
Efforts are underway to arrest the individuals involved in the incident: Naseerzada, son of Gul Sher; Abdul Majeed, son of Hammad Khan, residents of Bir Mittaltan, Mittaltan, Zaid, son of Omar Khan, Shahi Malik, son of Anza Khan, and Muhammad Hussain, son of Ayub Khan.
The parties are relatives, and the incident of firing took place between the two parties over a property dispute. Kalam Police Station has registered a case under Section 302-324-148-149 of CRPC, and further investigation is underway.
