Two police personnel injured  in terrorist firing in Bannu

BANNU: Unidentified persons opened firing on the patrolling party under SHO Saddar Police Station near Kot Adil limits area in the early hours of Wednesday.

Local sources said that SHO Police Station Sadar Waseem Sajjad was on a routine patrol in the police area near Kot Adil when unknown persons opened fire on them. As a result of firing, SHO Police Station Sadar Waseem Sajjad and his gunner Hayatullah were injured. They immediately shifted to the nearby Hospital where they were stated stable.

 

After the incident, police also opened fire and gunned down one of the suspected terrorists, while the other alleged suspect escaped in the darkness of the night. Police recovered weapons, hand grenades and cartridges from the crime scene.

A heavy police force has started a search operation in the area to arrest him. The slain accused has been shifted to the hospital for identification. DIG Bannu Sajjad Khan and DPO Bannu Saleem Abbas Kalachi immediately reached the hospital.

They visited the hospital asked inquired about their health. They issued instructions to the doctors to provide the best treatment to the injured.
