KOHAT: At least two policemen of the Counter-Terrorism Department were killed in a terrorist attack on Monday morning in Kohat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, local police said.
According to police, unidentified miscreants opened fire on policemen near Tanda Dam of the district. They were going to office from home duty on a motorbike duty
As a result, both police men identified as ASI Ghulam Mustafa and Havaldar Zahid Rehman, were killed in the firing.
District Police Officer Dr Zahid said that martyred ASI Ghulam Mustafa was posted as a reader of the SP Counter-Terrorism Department.
Heavy contingents of police, security forces and rescue teams rushed to the site and shifted the bodies to a nearby hospital.
personnel of the law Enforcement agencies cordoned off the entire area and started a search operation to track down the terrorists.
No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
