U.S. suspends tariffs for 90 days on all nations except China

White House spokeswoman Caroline Levitt announced that the U.S. will impose a total of 104 percent tariffs on Chinese goods starting today, April 9. This decision comes amid escalating trade tensions between the two nations. Levitt also revealed that 70 countries have reached out to discuss U.S. tariffs, and President Trump plans to address the presence of U.S. troops in these nations as part of future trade negotiations.
