Ultrasound machine stolen from Bajaur DHQ hospital, probe ordered

BAJAUR: An Ultrasound machine has gone missing from the Bajaur district headquarters hospital, prompting the launch of an inquiry into the alleged theft.

Sources said that an Ultrasound machine had gone missing from the DHQ hospital, located in the Khar area of the district.

According to sources, closed-circuit cameras are installed at the hospital, but despite that, the robbery took place at the hospital, exposing the loopholes of the hospital management.

Followed by the robbery incident, the Khar Assistant Commissioner Sadiq Ali visited the district Headquarters Hospital in Khar and formed a committee to probe into the robbery incident.

Assistant Commissioner Khar immediately issued instructions to register an FIR against the gang of thieves who had stolen the expensive machine of the government.

According to sources, the thieves broke the lock of the ultrasound room in the dark of night and took away the important parts of the ultrasound machine.

A health department official said on condition of anonymity that it was possible to catch the accused with the help of CCTV footage.

Sources say that an employee present in the hospital is a facilitator of the thieves. However, the police will conduct their investigations.
