Victory against India boosts Pakistan’s global image, Says Prime Minister

PM Shehbaz to chair cabinet meeting today

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has lauded the unity shown by the armed forces, political leadership, and the nation in response to India’s recent unwarranted aggression.

He stated that, by the grace of Allah Almighty, Pakistan has achieved a remarkable victory that not only protected its sovereignty but also elevated its stature on the global stage while thwarting the enemy’s malicious intentions.

The Prime Minister praised the armed forces of Pakistan, the political leadership, the people, civil society, and the media for standing united and effectively countering hostile conspiracies.

He also commended the diplomatic efforts led by Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, acknowledging their successful advocacy of Pakistan’s position on international platforms, which helped expose India’s anti-Pakistan agenda.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif further highlighted the enthusiastic response of overseas Pakistanis, who warmly welcomed the diplomatic delegation and paid tribute to both the government and the armed forces.

He also touched upon Pakistan’s show of solidarity with Iran during Israel’s aggression, emphasizing that a peaceful resolution to the Israel-Iran conflict would pave the way for lasting peace and prosperity in the region.

Following the approval of the 2025 budget, the Prime Minister met with members of the Senate and National Assembly. He appreciated the efforts of the economic team and described the budget as pro-people, developed through consultation with all coalition partners.

Stressing the importance of unity, the Prime Minister stated that national unity is the cornerstone of Pakistan’s economic progress and that everyone must work together with dedication.

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Senate, members of the federal cabinet, and a large number of parliamentarians.
