MINGORA: Regional Police Officer (RPO) Malakand, Sher Akbar has suspended a police in Swat after a video of him allegedly taking a bribe surfaced on social media and went viral.
According to details, a police officer, identified as Bakht Room, was posted at the Kukarai Police Post in Swat. In the widely circulated video, he can be seen allegedly receiving a bribe from a suspect.
Regional Police Officer (RPO) Malakand, Sher Akbar took notice of the incident and ordered the officer’s suspension and directed that he be reassigned to the Kabal Police Lines pending further inquiry.

The RPO has also instructed the District Police Officer (DPO) Swat to initiate a departmental investigation into the matter.
