ISLAMABAD: The federal government has announced significant changes in the top leadership of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), with Grade-20 officer Waqaruddin Syed appointed as the new Director General of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency NCCA.
An official notification issued by the Establishment Division confirmed the appointment. Syed, a seasoned officer of the Police Service, brings extensive experience in cybercrime investigations, having served in key positions within the FIA in the past.
According to official sources, the reshuffle aims to enhance the agency’s efficiency and strengthen its ability to tackle emerging challenges, particularly in the realm of cybercrime.
