Sheikh Waqas accuses Adiala Jail authorities of not returning Imran’s power of attorney

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaf Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram has accused the Adiala Jail staff of refusing to give Imran Khan’s power of attorney (Wakalat Nama).

He said that the jail authorities have refused to return Imran Khan’s power of attorney after signing them.

According to Sheikh Waqas Akram, on February 16, lawyer Shoaib Shaheen had given three power of attorneys to Adiala Jail, while today some new power of attorneys were also sent to the jail, but the lawyer was made to wait for an hour and then sent back.

He said that any action that creates obstacles in the pursuit of justice is unacceptable and deliberately delaying cases by obstructing them is an organized conspiracy.

Sheikh Waqas Akram has demanded that the judiciary take immediate notice of this matter so that the elements obstructing the provision of justice can be dealt with strictly.
