ISLAMABAD: Senior journalist and political analyst Mansoor Ali Khan has strongly criticized Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) recent protests, calling them “disappointing” and “ineffective.”
In his analysis, Khan said protests must have a clear purpose and strong public support to be meaningful. “If you don’t put on a show, even your opponents realize your protest has no impact,” he remarked. He added that PTI’s latest demonstrations were “useless and empty,” damaging the party’s reputation rather than pressuring the government.
Khan emphasized that protests should be well-organized and strategic, not just emotional outbursts. “The real goal is to challenge government and establishment policies, but these protests were unplanned and weak,” he said.
Meanwhile, journalist Farzana Ali shared videos of PTI workers in Peshawar enduring a 35-kilometer march in extreme heat, only to hear Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur give a 1-minute-28-second speech.

Another journalist, Irfan Khan, noted that after six hours of rallying, Gandapur’s brief remarks left workers frustrated.
