PESHAWAR: The Board of Directors of Peshawar Water and Sanitation Services Peshawar (WSSP) has decided to waive connection fees for three months to provide relief to domestic consumers and to facilitate the registration of illegal water connections. From September 1 to December 1, 2025, new domestic consumers can obtain free connections, and existing illegal connections can be registered without any fee.

This decision was made during a meeting chaired by Board Chairman Malik Shahab Hussain, which also included Chief Executive Officer Yasir Ali Khan and other board members. The meeting focused on issues related to tube wells, illegal connections, costs incurred for tube wells, and recovery from consumers. It was agreed that no fees will be charged for registering illegal connections or for obtaining new connections during these three months. The aim is to bring as many illegal connections as possible under the jurisdiction of the law and to increase the number of consumers by providing free connections.
