WhatsApp is rolling out a new privacy feature in an upcoming beta update (Android 2.25.10.14). The update will let users stop their phone from automatically saving media to the gallery.
Currently, this setting only works for disappearing chats, but WhatsApp will soon extend it to users who enable advanced chat privacy.
The feature also blocks full chat history exports if any participant has the setting turned on, adding extra security for private conversations.
