Why arrest warrant issued for Nazish Jahangir – What’s the story?

LAHORE: A court has issued an arrest warrant for actress Nazish Jahangir in a fraud case.

The Judicial Magistrate of Cantt Court ordered the Defense Sea Police to arrest her and present her in court.

The case was filed by Aswad Haroon, a resident of the Defense area. He accused Jahangir of breach of trust, fraud, and issuing threats.

According to the complaint, Haroon lent Jahangir his car and Rs. 5 million for a project. She promised to return them within two months but failed to do so after six months.

Haroon claimed Jahangir sent Sikandar Khan to threaten him. The police registered the case under fraud charges and are taking action against Jahangir, Sikandar Khan, and other accused.

The court has ordered all accused to appear on March 22. Haroon submitted the arrest warrant to the Defense Sea Police.

Jahangir denied the allegations. She called them a planned attempt to blackmail her and ruin her reputation.

This is not her first legal issue. In 2020, the FIA’s cybercrime wing arrested her in Karachi for blackmail, harassment, and distributing fake videos.

She also faced controversy when a fake screenshot of her Instagram post about Babar Azam went viral.
