PESHAWAR: A Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally in Peshawar turned chaotic after Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur left without speaking to the gathered workers, sparking anger among party supporters.
The rally, which began at Hayatabad Toll Plaza, passed through several areas before concluding at Qila Bala Hisar. Workers chanted slogans like “De Chowk, De Chowk” and attempted to stop the CM’s convoy multiple times.
Reports say Gandapur briefly appeared at Hashtnagari instead of the main rally point and then left without explanation. His sudden departure frustrated workers, who blocked Khyber Road in protest.
A female protester demanded Gandapur’s resignation if he “cannot manage the province,” while others called for honest leadership within PTI. The road was later reopened after local leaders intervened.
