Women take to streets against power cuts in CM hometown DI Khan

DI KHAN: Women and children took to the streets in Dera Ismail Khan (DI Khan), the hometown of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, to protest against prolonged power cuts.

On Wednesday, local women and children, affected by excessive loadshedding, gathered on the road in the Bannu Adda area of Dera Ismail Khan. The protesters shouted slogans against the incumbent Chief Minister, Ali Amin Gandapur.

Carrying banners and placards with messages opposing the power outages, the women blocked the main road in DI Khan. They expressed their frustration, stating that they were facing severe difficulties due to the prolonged power cuts in the sweltering heat.

According to the protesters, they have been suffering from load shedding for 18 to 22 hours a day, making life unbearable. Children, the elderly, and women are particularly affected, enduring significant hardships in the oppressive heat.
