The Water and Sanitation Services Company Mardan (WSSC M) completed its cleanliness drive during Eid-ul-Fitr. 472 tons of waste have been safely disposed of during the four days. The waste disposal operation started from Chand Raat and continued till the 3rd day of Eid.
According to the spokesperson of WSSCM, The Management staff were on duty during Eid holidays, 216 sanitation workers participated in the sanitation operation, while 32 vehicles were deployed. 57 Complaints were received during Eid, which were immediately resolved.
The water supply staff of the company also ensured uninterrupted supply of clean water to the citizens, while the team also carried out repairs to pipe leakages in different areas of the city.
The sanitation staff of the company cleaned all Eidgahs in Mardan city before Eid prayer. The company’s staff knocked on every door and made announcements through loudspeakers to remove garbage from their homes before Eid so that they could have a clean environment on the occasion of Eid.
Chairman Board of Directors WSSCM, Engineer Adil Nawaz and Chief Executive Officer Shahid Khan celebrated Eid with sanitation staff and were present in the field throughout the holidays to ensure a clean and waste-free environment for the citizens. They also visited various areas of Mardan and commended the management and workers for their outstanding performance. They paid tribute to all the staff of the company for their excellent cleanliness, and said that our workers worked day and night to provide a clean environment to the citizens of Mardan.
Deputy Commissioner Mardan, Dr. Azmatullah Wazir, distributed sweets and Eid gifts among the WSSCM staff after the Eid prayers, appreciating their dedication and hard work in maintaining cleanliness across the city.
From Chand Raat to the third day of Eid, 472 tons of waste was collected from 14 union councils of Mardan city and safely disposed of.
