ISLAMABAD: The microblogging platform X, formerly known as Twitter and owned by Elon Musk, suffered a major outage on Saturday evening, impacting thousands of users globally.
According to Downdetector, reports of issues spiked around 6 PM IST. Users across Android, iPhone, and desktop platforms reported that the app failed to load, displaying error messages instead.
Indian users, in particular, took to other social media platforms to report login difficulties, inability to receive notifications, and problems posting content. Over 5,000 users globally reported similar issues to Downdetector, indicating a widespread disruption.
As of now, neither Elon Musk nor X Corp has issued an official statement on the cause of the outage.
