Advisor to the Chief Minister (CM), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Barrister Dr. Saif has expressed solidarity with Kashmiri brethren on the eve of Youm-e-Istehsal, strongly condemning India’s illegal actions in IOK.
Advisor to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information, Barrister Dr. Saif, strongly condemned India’s ongoing human rights violations, unconstitutional measures, and illegal occupation in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He expressed unwavering solidarity with the people of Jammu & Kashmir and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to their right to self-determination during his speech at a large protest rally organised in Peshawar on the occasion of Youm-e-Istehsal.
In his address, Barrister Dr. Saif said that August 5 marks a dark chapter when India unilaterally revoked the special status of Kashmir through a constitutional amendment, in blatant violation of international law and UN Security Council resolutions.
He stated that India had assumed the Kashmir issue would fade with time, but the persistent resistance of the Kashmiri people and the unwavering support from Pakistan have proven otherwise. “We neither accept illegal occupation nor tolerate tyranny,” he said. “The strength of the Kashmiri people and the solidarity of the Pakistani nation are the greatest assets of this struggle.”
Barrister Dr. Saif strongly criticised Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying he is trying to impose the fascist ideology of Hindutva on the region. “History bears witness that Muslims have never bowed before oppression,” he said. “India should learn from the fate of former superpowers like Great Britain, Russia and the United States, who faced humiliation and retreat from this region.”
He also criticised the silence of the international community, the United Nations, and global human rights organisations. “If the world still mourns the atrocities against a few thousand Jews, why does it remain criminally silent over the oppression and killings of millions of Kashmiris?” he asked. “Such double standards are nothing but hypocrisy.”

Concluding his speech, Dr. Saif declared that the Kashmir freedom movement is written in the blood of martyrs and cannot be suppressed. He warned that if India continues to deny the right of self-determination to Kashmiris, the day is not far when the pillars of tyranny will collapse, and India will once again face international disgrace.
