A 13-year-old boy drowned in the Indus River on Wednesday in the Shaga Banda area of Tehsil Bisham. Search efforts for his body continued until late evening.
According to a spokesperson for Rescue 1122, Rasool Khan Sharif, the incident occurred on the third day of Eid-ul-Fitr.
After receiving an emergency call from the family, the rescue team’s divers arrived at the site and began the operation to recover the body.
Unfortunately, their efforts were unsuccessful by late evening.
The search operation will resume on Thursday, as it has been temporarily halted due to darkness.
