Young motorcyclist killed, brother injured in Tractor-trolley collision

MARDAN – A person was killed and his brother injured when a speedy tractor-trolley collided with a motorcycle, rescue 1122 sources said.

The deceased has been identified as 15-year-old Yameen Shah, while his injured brother, 16-year-old Mubeen Shah, was immediately provided first aid by the rescue team and shifted to Mardan Medical Complex (MMC) for further treatment.

Rescue officials confirmed that the incident took place when the two brothers were riding on a motorcycle and were hit by the tractor-trolley at high speed, causing them to be thrown off the vehicle. Authorities have not yet confirmed whether the driver of the tractor-trolley was apprehended. Local police are investigating the incident to determine the cause of the collision and whether any negligence was involved. The accident has sparked grief in the local community, with many residents expressing concern over the growing number of traffic-related fatalities in the region, often due to reckless driving and a lack of traffic enforcement. Meanwhile, a dead body was recovered in the Umazai area of Charsadda. Police said that the identity of the dead body is not confirmed, and the body has been shifted to the mortuary for post-mortem.
