Pakistan’s rising young content creator and thalassemia patient, Talha Ahmed’s Instagram account has been suspended after criticising PPP leader and Mayor Karachi, Murtaza Wahab, for his poor performance in Karachi flood situation.
On Thursday night, Talha Ahmed shared a screenshot on his Facebook page to inform his fans that his Instagram account had been suspended. According to the notice issued by Instagram, his account was suspended on August 21, 2025, and if an appeal is not made within 180 days, his account will be deactivated forever.
Talha Ahmed wrote in his post, ‘I will come back stronger.’
His fans appeared to express surprise and regret in the comments on this post. Many people also alleged that the reason for Talha’s account suspension was Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab, because in his last video, Talha had mentioned the flood situation in Karachi.
Some users also seemed to say that we told you to think, and some also wrote that you have done a great job; people must be jealous. Talha’s fans also seemed to say that your rise has begun from now on.
It should be noted that Talha had gained millions of followers on Instagram in just one year. Talha Ahmed is one of the few young people who have made a name for themselves in a short time. He started his journey as a content creator in July 2024.
Initially, he kept making videos intermittently, but in 2025, he started working consistently. In his videos, he presents everyday problems and situations in a humorous but instructive way. His special thing is that he himself plays different roles in his videos.
A major reason for Talha’s popularity is that he makes light work of others’ insensitive and superficial content and makes people realise that it is important to give a positive message along with entertainment.
In a recent interview with Arab News Pakistan, Talha Ahmed said, “I started my content creation with a regular phone. I didn’t even have my own phone; I used to borrow my sister’s phone. Most of my best videos were made on regular phones. Now I am thinking of buying new devices. My goal is to create friendly content that everyone likes and everyone can see themselves in it.”
His brother said that Talha started his journey with very limited resources, but his hard work and dedication made him successful. Another special thing about Talha Ahmed’s life is that he is a thalassemia patient. But he did not let his illness become an obstacle in his path. He continued content creation along with his education, and today, his recognition is his work.
He said, “I have never made my illness my weakness. My work is my identity, not my illness.” Talha Ahmed’s fans appreciate his courage, creativity and mastery of the Urdu language. The suspension of his Instagram account is certainly a setback, but his fans on social media have always been saying that this is just a temporary phase and that Talha Ahmed’s real identity is his hard work and his art.
