Pakistan to bear treatment expenses of repatriated ailing children: Federal Minister

ISLAMABAD: Following special directives from Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal, the Pakistan government has finalised all arrangements for the medical treatment of a group of ailing children who recently returned from India. According to a spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, the initiative to provide timely care to the children was made possible through the efforts of Minister Mustafa Kamal. He said that the government would bear the full cost of the children’s medical treatment, and no financial burden would be placed on the affected families. In coordination with the Directorate General of Health, arrangements have been made to treat the children at the prestigious Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology (AFIC) in Islamabad. Efforts are currently underway to transfer the children from Karachi to Islamabad to begin their treatment at the earliest, the ministry added. It is important to note that soon after the Pahalgam false flag operation, India had forcefully repatriated some of the ailing children who were suffering from cardiac diseases and cancelled their visas, giving them a deadline of 27th April, 2025.
