PSL 10: Karachi Kings opt to bowl first against Lahore Qalandars

Today’s PSL match in Rawalpindi postponed; remaining fixtures likely to be shifted to Karachi

LAHORE: Karachi Kings won the toss and chose to bowl first against Lahore Qalandars in the 24th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday.

Dealing with a string of injuries, the Kings have reshuffled their squad. Pacer Fawad Ali has been sidelined with a hamstring injury, while Adam Milne was previously ruled out due to a knee issue. To fill the gap, Shahnawaz Dahani, formerly of Multan Sultans, has been drafted in. Dahani boasts 39 wickets in 27 PSL appearances, with an average of 20.84 and an economy rate of 9.10.

Additionally, U19 Pakistan captain and wicketkeeper-batter Saad Baig has been added in the Emerging Category. He has impressed in limited appearances, including a solid knock against Islamabad United.

Karachi Kings currently sit fourth on the points table with four wins from seven games (eight points), while Lahore Qalandars are third, with four wins from eight matches. In their previous encounter this season, Lahore thrashed Karachi by 85 runs.
