PESHAWAR: The funeral prayers of Sub Inspector Laiqzada Khan and Constable Alamzeb, who were martyred in a suicide blast near the livestock market under the limits of Chamkani police station, were offered with full official honors at Malik Saad Shaheed Police Line.
A well-equipped police contingent offered a salute to the martyrs on the occasion of the funeral prayers. Various high-ranking officials and personalities including MNA Arbab Sher Ali, Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shahab Ali Shah, IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Zulfiqar Hameed, Commissioner Peshawar Division Riaz Mehsud, CCPO Peshawar Qasim Ali Khan, Additional IG CTD Shaukat Abbas, SSP Operations Masood Ahmed, SSP Investigation, CTD officials, Divisional SPs, other police officers and relatives of the martyrs attended the occasion. After the funeral prayers, Arbab Sher Ali, Shahab Ali Shah, Zulfiqar Hameed and Riaz Mehsud laid wreaths on the bodies of the martyrs and prayed for their high status. On this occasion, the Chief Secretary and IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa met the families of the martyrs, expressed their condolences and paid great tribute to the bravery, sacrifice and services of the martyrs.
