PESHAWAR: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior leader Shazia Tahmas Khan voiced grave concerns over Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) deteriorating conditions during an interview on Pakhtun Digital Podcast. She emphasized KP’s strategic national and international significance but lamented its historical neglect, stating the province has been deprived of due aid and attention.
Tahmas Khan sharply criticized the ruling PTI, accusing it of internal disarray and elitism. “A political party is like a house—unity depends on leadership. PTI lacks both,” she said, highlighting divisions among its workers due to self-serving leaders.
She dismissed PTI’s claims of executing 550 projects as hollow sloganeering, citing unfulfilled promises like 350 dams, the mismanaged Billion Tree Tsunami initiative, and the controversial Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project. “People got more trouble than relief,” she asserted, urging immediate practical solutions over “further experiments.”
The PPP leader’s remarks reflect growing opposition scrutiny of PTI’s governance in KP, where allegations of corruption and unmet development targets have fueled public discontent.
