Federal Govt would not to survive in Emergency attempt: KP Information Adviser

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Information Adviser, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, issued a stern warning to the federal government, stating that if any attempt is made to impose an emergency in the province, the federal government will not survive even a single day.

Speaking at a press conference, Barrister Saif declared that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa budget will not be approved without consulting the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). He explained that the people have voted for PTI’s ideology and manifesto, and therefore, the budget will be presented by that vision.

He clarified that the provincial government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is established based on “Form 45,” while the federal government and other provincial governments stand on the shaky grounds of “Form 47,” which he described as fraudulent and vulnerable to collapse with even a slight push.

Barrister Saif further stated that only the Chief Minister has the authority to dissolve the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly and can exercise this right whenever deemed necessary. He assured that all major decisions in the province will be made with the consultation of genuine public representatives and that no external pressure will be tolerated.

He also criticised the federal government, warning against any attempts to undermine the constitutional powers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, saying such actions would have dangerous consequences.

These statements come at a time of heightened political tension, with the budget session approaching, indicating a potential political confrontation between the federal government and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
