PESHAWAR: Awami National Party (ANP) leader Sardar Hussain Babak has criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), accusing it of failing to take practical steps to address the constitutional rights and public issues of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
Speaking on the Pakhtun Digital Podcast, Babak claimed that the PTI has been limited to issuing statements and holding dialogues without any real action. He pointed to ongoing protests by government employees outside the provincial assembly, saying the ruling party is ignoring public grievances.
Babak also commented on the ongoing budget debate, stating that while it is normal to consult party leaders during budget preparation, making its approval conditional on consultation with jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan is a tactic to divert attention from real problems.
He further criticized the PTI-led government for failing to address inflation, unemployment, and power outages, forcing people to protest while the administration avoids taking concrete steps.
